If you’re the kind of person who loves animals – and let’s be real here, who doesn’t love animals? – you may find your life lacking in exposure to nature’s plethora a animal friends. Many of us have pets, but it’s not the same. Pet ownership comes down to a series of compromises that renders your pet a little too tame when compared to, say, a fox or a cougar. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. After all, wild animals can be, and usually are, quite dangerous. However, it can still be fulfilling to see some wild animals once in awhile, and preferably in a safe environment, such as at a zoo. So, you stand to benefit greatly from a wild vacation.
When it comes time to plan your trip, remember the travel essentials. For example, you’re going to need to book a hotel room and a flight, maybe even a rental car from an agency like Enterprise, depending on your needs. You may even be able to take a road trip, foregoing a flight and rental car. It all just depends on where you are and where you’re going. Don’t forget to pack everything you’re going to need, as well. You’re going to want to pack some clothing, an outfit per day and some extras, some toiletries, such as your toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products, as needed.
Next, you’re going to need a destination, of which there are plenty of options. For instance, a wild life preserve is a great place to see animals in their natural habitat, but just as they’re protected from us, we’re protected from them. A zoo is a great alternative, of course, though a bit too tame for many. An aquarium can be an amazing destination and perhaps the only safe or accessible way to see many sea creatures up close.
